It’s been an incredibly busy month, but it’s been buoyed by clarity of purpose. As a small business, the biggest friction has never been the work; it’s uncertainty. But we’ve figured this out before. Most of it, anyway. So, day by day, bit by bit, I chop wood and carry water. Meanwhile, the entire team continues to take great care of our members. The vibes have been tremendous.
What we’ve ticked off the list
The move, renos, and painting are done. The bottle filler is filling, and the bike racks are racking. But what’s new new? We’ve gotten our new signage up; brought in a whole whack of storage; organized the programs and notebooks (by colour!); and figured out quite a bit in terms of how to make the most of the new space. It’s the little things, you know.
That said, a few big items remain on the list. Here are two of them:
Trial Class Announcement
Beginning September 4th, we’ll launch new 30-minute afternoon sessions with the working title of GIGSGO Sessions (Get in, Get Sweaty, Get Out). They’re designed for folks who work from home and/or nearby and who want to wedge a cheeky training session into the middle of their workday.
The sessions will be capped at 10. You’ll jump right into things with a dynamic warm-up before experiencing a mixture of strength, active mobility, and aerobic fitness. Efficiency is the name of the game, but movement quality and progression are always part of our playbook.
Sign up here for free access to our test sessions and we’ll be in touch with details.
Party with us on September 13th
We’ll be celebrating our grand reopening AND 18th birthday with a big ole patio party at our new spot – including barbecue, conversation, and maybe a few feats of strength. I’m still firming up the timing but please know that you’re welcome to come on down. I’ll send something out closer to the date but feel free to RSVP right here.
