Our Team

Hi, I'm Geoff Girvitz

I never liked gym culture but I founded a gym. Isn’t that weird?

My own love of exercise came from learning how it impacted my mood, focus, and function. I began by asking what I would need to do to make health and fitness habits lifelong. To do that, however, I had to untangle a lot of what mainstream fitness culture was getting wrong — and how to make the profound benefits of exercise more accessible.

In time, I came to learn that people are deeply motivated – no shouting or cajoling necessary – and that most of us can thrive with the right support at the right time. I opened Bang Personal Training in 2008. My wish: for any time spent with us to positively your lifelong health.

We have come to be leaders in Toronto’s fitness community and have endeavoured to offer a mindful, sustainable approach to fitness through our Group Personal Training, 1-1 personal training and small group classes. With us, you’ll feel comfortable enough to get uncomfortable and build the skills and practices that build lifelong health.
